The film is shot in a mockumentary found-footage style, supposedly of the lost footage of the Apollo 18 mission that was only recently discovered. The film will be Lopez-Gallego’s first English-language film.

Apollo 18 is a found-footage style film set in December 1974, about a post-Apollo 17 mission to the Moon that takes on a premise of why NASA discontinued the Apollo Moon missions. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly,Dimension Films head Bob Weinstein denied the film was a work of fiction, stating that “We didn’t shoot anything, we found it. Found, baby!” The film will be distributed by Dimension Films.

Needless to say I laughed when I read that he was trying to sell us on an Apollo 18 mission that encountered an alien life form on the Moon that was secretly recorded and kept under wraps until now. But that does not stop some of you from believing that not only did Apollo 18 happen but so did Apollo 19 and Apollo 20 with some pretty shocking outcomes.
Just from watching the trailer for Apollo 18 it is hard to believe it is not Hollywood produced. Frankly there are scenes in JJ Abrams Cloverfield that looked more plausible then this new Apollo 18 movie.

Drive won’t be hitting cinemas until September, but lucky for us, a couple of teasing shots have cruised onto the web from this week’s CinemaCon.
Directed by Bronson’s Nicolas Winding Refn, the film centres around a professional stunt driver (Ryan Gosling) who moonlights as a criminal getaway driver.
Also joining the cast as Gosling’s love interest is Carey Mulligan, in a twist that sees the pair on the wrong side of some rather nettlesome criminals.

Yep, it’s time to get out of the water.
Recently moved from an August to an April release date, Alexandre Aja’s Piranha remake (which is in 3D, just in case you missed that) has finally showed us what it’s got with its first trailer.
Are we impressed?
Well… It looks like pretty standard stuff, if we’re honest. Amid the screams and the running, we catch a glimpse of Eli Roth, Jerry O’Connell and Vampire Diaries star Steven R McQueen (yep, that’s his real name).
Then there’s Christopher Lloyd laying on the ham as he rants about the “pack” mentality of the toothy menaces.
As for thefanged fish themselves? They’re quite obviously CGI, but look mean as hell.
