Horror god Clive Barker hasalready got Midnight Meat Train chuffing towards the screen and a fresh take on Hellraiser in development. But now he’s cracked open Books Of Blood, the seminal short story collection that made him a horror icon for Matador Pictures and his own Midnight Picture Show company.

Hoping for a franchise while cribbing from the first book, Blood will follow a paranormal expert (in the form of the current TV Robin Hood Jonas Armstrong) investigating a terrible slaughter, only to discover that the location is an intersection of paths that transport souls to the afterlife.
